At the Hahnweide 'Oldtimer' Fliegertreffen 2025 (Kirchheim unter Teck, south-east of Stuttgart), one of the most anticipated highlights was Charlie Brown flying the unique Me 109 E 'rote 12' — according to Charlie the first public display of this aircraft. 'Red 12' is currently the only airworthy example of its kind with Daimler Benz DB 601 engine actually flying anywhere in the world.
