unidentified Jagdflieger - B-17 shoot-down on 29 August 1944
The following photos from Czech enthusiast Roman Susil show a successful Luftwaffe Ofw. or Ofhr. pilot posing with the wreckage of a downed B-17 on 29 August 1944 (B-17G 42-32048) at the crash site in the vicinity of Krhov (Kreis Zlin). But who exactly was he ? The victory lists for the day on the German side which saw all four Gruppen of JG 300 in action comprised the following:
