During May 1941, Gruppen of LG 1 were supporting the DAK in north Africa and then flying against shipping around Crete. During this period they were based in Krumovo, Bulgaria and then Eleusis, Greece. 'L1+AH' was lost on August 5, 1941 over Egypt.
